Shaileen Owens

Shaileen Owens serves as the Board Chair of Kingdom Konnections, where she is dedicated to empowering families and strengthening communities through compassionate, innovative support. With over two decades of experience in child welfare and social work, Shaileen brings a deep commitment to the well-being of children and families.

In addition to her leadership at Kingdom Konnections, Shaileen is the Vice President of Permanency for a private agency that supports children and families involved in foster care as they work toward reunification. She holds a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University and is a licensed social worker, recognized for her advocacy on behalf of at-risk children and their families.

Her work is centered on building collaborative partnerships, elevating the voices of those served, and ensuring every child and families have the opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment with adequate supports.

Guided by her faith and the core values of justice, integrity, and progress, Shaileen believes in the power of community to create lasting change. She is a wife, a proud mother, and a big sister to many, both within her family and throughout the community. Shaileen generously volunteers her time as a track coach and as one of the leaders for the Ministry of Movement at Life Changers International in Pittsburg, KS.  She enjoys sports, baking, and being around people. 

At Kingdom Konnections, Shaileen is committed to connecting, supporting, and uplifting families through the vision of Kingdom Konnections while providing support to the team by helping them overcome challenges and achieve lasting stability, while growing Kingdom Konnections as a well-known resource for children and families.
